IT ERP Administrator

CORPORATE - FIRMWIDE - Concord, CA - Full Time

The IT ERP Administrator performs system analysis and support functions. The position is accountable for performing the analysis, design, implementation, administration, and support of our internal business systems, including our company-wide ERP system. The ideal candidate for this position will operate within the IT team but will be instrumental in fostering relationships across all parts of the business. They will serve as a vital bridge between our IT team and various business units, providing strategic insights and solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency that includes AI technologies and driving overall business success.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Define, document, and manage end-to-end processes, functional capabilities and business outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough business process analysis to understand current practices and to identify areas for improvement that may include AI technologies.
  • Architect data and applications to align with business objectives.
  • Gathers, reviews, drafts, and outlines business requirements that impact strategic initiatives and/or business unit objectives (user stories).
  • Define and track metrics measuring service performance and periodically review with business users.
  • Partner with business users to define best practices and develop functional competencies.
  • Manage user adoption for new functionality and support business power users on an ongoing basis.
  • Prioritize and coordinate work streams.
  • Provide System administration for application solutions such as Deltek Vantagepoint ERP, Newforma, and other operational and project software.
  • Monitor and resolve any application support tickets assigned via ticketing system provided by Harris & Associates.
  • Maintain development and testing environments for business-critical applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities on application and data systems, to minimize downtime. Create and implement test plans and work with users to assure that our applications are running optimally.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation process flows and user guides.
  • Train all users on new systems, updates and/or applications, ensuring smooth adoption and minimizing disruption.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or another relevant field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Business or Systems Analyst Role.  8-10 years exp is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Deltek Vantagepoint), SQL tools, financial systems, HR systems and Project Management applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly and reliably in a variety of systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving data issues involving large volumes of data stored in various systems.
  • Experience designing and deploying new systems features and functionality to meet business needs while accounting for the user experience.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, i.e., the ability to ask the right questions to get a good understanding of the problem.
  • Ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, with a high degree of efficiency and organization.
  • Seasoned experience with databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, and MS Access, and their related tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp and translate complex technical concepts, think independently, and take the initiative required to resolve issues in a team structure.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • A meticulous attention to detail.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Desktop operating systems, and office applications.
  • Basic computer security and operations applicable to business systems.  
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $120K-$135K.  Actual pay offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
