Director of Civil Engineering Services

As we grow in Southern CA we are looking for an individual to take over our San Diego region and the current and future clients that fall within it. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of successful business development with a consulting firm, preferably in water resources. Targeting someone who is agile and has the ability to work in a fast pace complex work environment while leading a team.
The primary responsibilities of this Director is to perform technical oversight, staff development, contract management, cost proposal development, project performance, client management for water and roadway projects, for our Cities, Counties, and Districts in the San Diego location. A key part of the role will be client development and mentoring staff to promote technical delivery and operational excellence. This position includes discipline leadership, project management, business development, and staff management. This role will report to our Engineering Business Unit Leader and high amount of coordination and collaboration with other discipline Harris & Associates leaders and business lines.

Our San Diego Project Managers would be reporting in to this Director and indirectly this Director will be responsible for all engineering employees within San Diego office location.
