Harris is looking for a Project Manager to join our dynamic Program & Construction Management team in Southern California. 

The Project Manager will manage the day-to-day efforts related to program management of municipal capital improvement programs or other programming, planning, design, procurement, construction, and asset management projects for our Municipal clients.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the full range or portions of the program management cycle with multiple task teams.
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction, project financial performance and contract management.
  • Establishes and sustains senior level trusted advisor client relationships.
  • Oversees client relationships and serves as a management resource to clients.
  • Brings in-depth client knowledge and works closely with Division and Client Managers to support Division business development efforts.
  • Ensures client and market knowledge is used to support broad- based business development efforts.
  • Provides strategic technical direction.
  • Ensures quality standards are met on all project components under his/her direction.
  • Ensures all project components are managed to client satisfaction.
  • Ensures all projects under his/her direction meet profitability targets.
  • Responsible for Annual program budget
  • Supports Division utilization targets and achievement of other financial metrics.
  • Attracts, develops, and manages project management and technical staff.
  • Work is typically comprised of 75% time contribution towards project or program leadership and 25% as a technical contribution Manages medium to large programs with multiple projects (often at different stages of delivery) with budget/scope greater than $500M

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience performing work in appropriate discipline including at least 8+ years of relevant project/program management experience
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of successful projects
  • Able to discern and clearly communicate the client’s goals and key priorities.
  • Able to represent the client in presenting the program to the community.
  • Proven ability to leverage key program management skills, including but not limited to:
    • Negotiation skills
    • Influencing skills
    • Keen grasp of interpersonal and impact awareness.
    • Depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects.
    • Presentation skills
    • Political savvy
    • Keen grasp of interpersonal and impact awareness.
    • Depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $140-160K. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
